Nice to we are back to normal and once again the first Entry is from Kenneth Ashton, When reading the sad news of the passing of David Pegg who I did not know I realised that throughout my 8 years and a bit just how few people I actually knew in the Branch though probably quite a few would of heard of me, I counted just how many drafts or on loan to various Met Offices or on Exercises not mentioned in dispatches, like USS WASP on ASEPS. but my fondest memories are of Kete and Culdrose Met Schools, where Kenneth and I would spend much of our time making Frothy Coffee and little else. |

Ken have you noticed strangely when you scroll down from your first entry in 2011 every time you stop to check where you are date wise, you stop at your name or mine and quite often Ray Brooker, seems very weird. |

Just thought I would drop a line to let you know about a small gathering we had back in July. My brother Phillip Gillett had another birthday so we all gathered at a pub in deepest Brummie land between Coventry and Castle Bromwich. Lovely day and it was great to meet up with Ashley Price and Colin Brenchley. Nice to talk Andrew again, swing the lamp and chat about who we knew or never met. My son has just started at Aberystwyth University where Ashley has a caravan , so hoping we can meet again on one of my parental care visits ???!! Hope George Blewitt and Steve Howard are in good health. Marc. |
